This cutscene for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was animated purely from still assets provided from the concept team. I like the pop up book style, and the ‘2.5D’ feel you get when you put flat images into a 3D space and animate cameras. The main composite was done in After Effects, but I did use combustion to make some particles.
